Chelsea Radgens has been a metro-Detroit dance instructor for the past three years. As a student, she learned classical Vaganova technique under the direction of Ballet Detroit founder, Sergey Rayevskiy. She continued her dance studies at Alma College, where she had the opportunity to perform lead roles in both classical and contemporary ballets.
She also participated in a dance exchange program, in which she was personally selected to perform in two collaborative pieces with the Tainan University dance program in Tainan, Taiwan. She currently teaches many styles of dance at Piazza Dance Company, in Northville, and is the primary instructor at the Novi Civic Center.
Additionally, she has choreographed “Hairspray” and “Fiddler on the Roof” for Novi High School, and is a coach for Oakland Rhythmic Gymnastics. She loves passing on her passion for dance to students, and enjoys teaching kids and adults alike. She uses humor and creativity in the classroom, to ensure that her students enjoy learning proper technique, and aren’t afraid to have fun exploring dance.
