Performing Arts Company at American Dance Academy

The Performing Arts Program is offered to students interested in going beyond recreational level dance. Study at this level includes a finer focus  and deeper commitment on technique, dance history, audition practice, competition and performance skills.  A student should have a curiosity and a growing love and respect for the art form, an adventurous spirit, a desire and commitment to practice dance at a more intensive level than the casual student, and a joyful anticipation in discovering her or his own creative capabilities. Dancers in the Performing Arts Company can gain competition experience, which can greatly enhance dance knowledge and performance skills. Dancers also attend educational workshops and participate in fun community performances. 

Our teachers utilize guidelines established by Dance Masters of America, the oldest professional dance organization in America, to instruct dancers in the Performing Arts Company in the following styles of dance:

• Tap
• Lyrical
• Contemporary
• Tahitian/Hawaiian
• Musical Theatre
